EMAIL MARKETING SPECIALIST


The Position:

At Maverick Internet Ventures we operate a group of consumer online commerce sites. We manage a very high volume of online marketing and transaction processing, as well as develop cutting-edge software to improve the efficiency, performance, and profitability of all of our systems. The Maverick office is a casual atmosphere where everyone enjoys what they do: we value hard work, but try not to take ourselves too seriously. We are currently looking for a Email Marketing Specialist with experience running complex B2C email campaigns. Our ideal candidate has both an analytical and creative mind, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit - proactive rather than reactive.

Responsibilities:

  • Create strategic plans for comprehensive email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop content and ideas that maximize the effectiveness of email marketing efforts.
  • Oversee the scheduling and delivery of the email campaigns.
  • Maximize deliverability, open rate, click through rate, and revenue per send.
  • Analyze and report success of campaigns to management.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience managing large scale email marketing campaigns, strategically and tactically.
  • Knowledgeable in all current issues pertaining to email marketing.
  • Proven copywriting experience that drives sales.
  • A solid working knowledge of Excel.
  • Very computer and Internet savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and W3C standards.
  • Ability to frequently shift from independent projects to team projects.

A degree is not required, but it is a bonus. We value real world skills and positive attitude above diplomas.
